Art is also a form of the reality from which it arises
but which it reflects in a form suited only to art.
It is the meeting of likeness, intellect, heart and soul,
of experience of the world, of dreams, longing and fears,
of intuition, then, and of the ability to articulate all this through art.
It is the fascination of these energy fields active in her pictures
and objects that has guided us in our decision to show
Brigitte van Laar´s work at our museum.
